Our Business

Amalgamated Investment Bancorporation (AIB) obtained its license to operate as an investment bank on December 10, 1997. AIB started commercial operations in January 1998. AIB is a Joint Venture between Philippine and Singaporean business interests.

The shareholders include the following:

MF-AIB Holdings, Inc., an investment holding company formed by a group of investors led by the management of the company.

Hiap Moh Corporation, Ltd., an industrial company in Singapore. Investments include associated companies and joint ventures (primarily in the paper and packaging sector), which operate in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and the People's Republic of China. Hiap Moh is controlled by the spouses Michael Wee and Ng Kah Lin. Mr. Wee was formerly with DBS Bank Group Singapore as Executive Chairman of DBS Securities Holding Pte. Ltd., Chairman of NatSteel Ltd., and Deputy Chairman of DBS Land.

Pioneer Ventures, Inc., an investment holding company of the Philippines' Lorenzo Family whose interests include agribusiness concerns such as Lapanday Holdings Inc., as well as financial services and real estate ventures.
